In fashion you can make and break rules to create your own style. As fashion evolves, rules change. It used to be considered a “fashion don’t” to wear black and brown or silver and gold together. This outfit breaks all of those old rules. 

I love black and brown together. Certain shades of brown (medium to light) tend to work better when pairing with black. However you could pair a dark brown belt with a black shirt and a pair of jeans, and it would look great. 

I just started mixing my gold and silver accessories. Recently I went to dinner with my aunt and mom and I was wearing gold jewelry and pulled out my silver clutch. It wasn’t my first choice, but my mom and aunt reminded me that it is ok to mix. I am not always bold when mixing metals, but an easy way to start is to combine silver and gold bracelets.
