Winter Whites

 Sweater {LOFT} Pants {Similar, similar, similar} Jacket {LOFT} Scarf {Similar} Shoes {Ann Taylor} Lipstick {Hourglass}

The next few weeks have the shortest days of the year. Often it’s dark when you wake up and dark when you leave work. It is the perfect time to wear winter whites and brighten up your look. I love the classic, pretty look of winter white. I also like adding texture and with so many different sweater choices it’s easy to do. I didn’t layer another sweater over the one I am wearing, but I could have worn this terrific white sweater vest as well.

If you are like me you might shy away from wearing light colored pants; they just are not as “forgiving”. A pant with texture can help with that issue- white/cream cords or velvet are good fabric options for light colored pants that give a little bit of texture.

These metallic pants are a fun choice for a “dressy but not overdressed” look. To balance the look, pick a statement piece that you want to wear and put it together with a classic piece like this cable knit sweater. This outfit can do double duty and be worn to a Christmas party instead of a holiday dress. That thought makes me merry!
