This is the beginning of my busy season at work, my days are longer and I don’t have as much free time. My busy season is the holiday season which is chaotic, but I love it. Steve and I always try to have a date night at least once a month. It’s important to make time for each other even when we are busy. Date night can be anything from a casual night out at the movies, drinks and snacks, or trying a new restaurant. We both like to try new things which makes it fun to find a place to eat.

I love date night not only for a night out and spending time with Steve, but also for the opportunity to wear something special. Not all date nights are dressy; sometimes a pair of boyfriend jeans with a cute tee and heels can do the trick. However when we are going to a nice restaurant it is a chance to be a little dressed up. One thing that is great about the area that we live in is that we have a lot of fantastic restaurants and most of them you can be dressed up and not look out of place, but it’s not mandatory.

This little gold dress is so perfect, when you normally hear about a gold dress you think of New Year’s Eve and flashy. This dress with its shift shape and high neck make it a stylish piece with a little bit of edge. I also love that I will be able to wear it year round. The gold color will make it a great choice for the holidays paired with tights and a blazer. My favorite dresses in my closet are my LBD, LDD (little denim dress) and now my LGD.

What are the favorite dresses in your closet?

Also a special Happy 26th Birthday to my best friend Lillian!! Wish I could be celebrating with you! ❤️
