This season I cannot stop buying anything and everything in burgundy. I had to control myself from not buying a third pair of burgundy pants: in my defense, they were all different shades and textures. However no one needs three pairs of burgundy pants in one season! Since I can’t stop buying clothes in this color, I thought I might share a look that I love.

I wear these pants often because they are a dress pant without being entirely traditional. My job allows jeans in the workplace, but I enjoy switching it up with something different too. These pants can be worn casually, but you can dress them up for work by adding this lace top and even a blazer. Without having to change my look, this was a good transition outfit from workday to a night out.

I have always loved burgundy and it IS the color of the season. Unlike some other colors that fashion magazines and stores feature, burgundy works on all skin tones and is easy to incorporate into your wardrobe. It works with dark blue and black as well as brown hues.  As a bonus it will be a great holiday color if you are shy about wearing red!

Just a quick note to say I hope you’ve missed me these last few weeks. I was recently promoted and had to settle in before I could get back to blogging. Promising lots of fun posts for the holidays!!
