Happy New Year! It’s the first official week of 2016. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday; I had the chance to go home and visit my family. I am fortunate because I currently live within two hours of home. Life is so busy right now that I don’t visit as often as I would like, so it was terrific to spend a few days back home.

This year was very special because all three of my brothers were home. It was also the first time Steve spent Christmas with me and my family.  I was excited to share our Mexican Christmas Eve tradition with him. When mom remarried the first year we celebrated Christmas as a blended family, tacos were one of the few foods all the kids liked so Mexican Christmas Eve was born. It started with just tacos, but now it’s truly a fiesta and a great tradition that includes family and friends. It was wonderful to share it with Steve this year!

The weather was very mild this Christmas so we took a trip to Forster’s Christmas Tree Farm to explore and enjoy the day. A classic turtleneck, jeans and boots made the perfect outfit. The ground was soft from previous rain so Aquatalia boots are a great choice because they are waterproof. If you are looking for a universal boot these are a fabulous investment.

Hope that you had a wonderful holiday!
