All the fashion talk this fall has been about the flare jean; I mentioned it previously in my “must have fall essentials” post. It is the trend of the season and compared with other trends, the flare jean trend is an easy one to incorporate into your wardrobe. Each season brings new trends and as great as it is to hop on the fashion train, it’s hard to keep up with every new trend and still stay on budget. It’s important to know which trends to try and which ones should stay on the runway. Although it’s fun to try new things, you cannot try everything and stay true to your own personal style.

When trying a new style I don’t believe it is necessary to buy designer items. There are items that I will spend the additional money to have a higher quality item; these tend to be wardrobe staples. I spend the extra when I think that the style will be lasting and I want to make that investment. The good news is there are great denim options in all price ranges.

Flare jeans… I wasn’t sure I would like them. I am so glad that I decided to try the look this year because I love them! Since I am not tall I will always wear a heel with a flare. I enjoy wearing a heel and I think the flare jean creates the illusion that my legs are longer, which is always a good thing! When I paired this look I felt like I was flashing back in time, but yet it was still current because of the colors I chose.

What new fall trend are you loving this season? Have you tried flare jeans?

Having a mini vacation this weekend in Iowa visiting Steve’s family! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
