I will be honest…I sometimes forget about pieces in my closet. I get excited about the newer items and want to wear them right away. Reading other blogs reminds me of existing items in my closet. In season past I wore Blazers frequently, but with the frigid temperatures this winter I think they weren’t heavy enough to keep me warm. With a light shell underneath my blazer it is now the perfect choice. Are there items in your closet that you might have forgotten about? I did a spring cleaning, but might need to do a summer one as well!

Wearing shorts to work is a new concept for me this summer. It’s not the right choice for every workplace, but if you work in fashion or another creative field they can be an appropriate choice. There can be some controversy about wearing them, but when following a few rules you can make shorts appropriate for a casual work environment. Elevating the short can be done by wearing a blazer or some type of cardigan and a dressy shoe. If you’re concerned, start with a longer short and higher heel, or if the short is smaller, a lower heel wedge or gladiator sandal.
