As a general rule I always think it’s better to be overdressed than underdressed. However I realized the other day that I don’t show off my casual side in my posts very often.

I enjoy dresses and skirts a lot in the summertime, but the season is also a time for a more relaxed look. I have a few pairs of flippy shorts in my closet. They are great, lightweight pieces to own. I am that strange person who still, even in the summer, will get cold. When wearing shorts or a skirt, I like to balance it by wearing something long sleeved on top so I don’t get too chilly. This lightweight neutral colored sweater is perfect year round and super versatile! 

I was lucky this week to get together with an old friend from elementary school. We talked about how amazing and special it is that we’ve kept in touch and are still good friends! She lives in a different part of Maine, closer to the New Hampshire border so it was fun to see and explore a new small town!
