What a beautiful weekend; we couldn’t have asked for better weather! The weekend flew by, but this work week will be a short one for me because of an upcoming trip to Florida for my grandfather’s 95th birthday. I was able to get out and have a few drinks with some friends down in the old port. After a year of living here, I finally feel like I am getting to know the place.

I have written before about making a dress work different ways: dressing it down to wear it every day and casual, or changing accessories for a more polished look. I received a lot of positive feedback from my citrus twist post about the dress and the casual styling, so I felt the citron dress was the perfect choice to design two different looks. When I saw this clutch in my closet I wanted to create an outfit based on its colors. I kept it simple by just adding a few accessories based on the blue. In this styling the dress is still the focus, but the difference is in the details.

Also I would love to say Happy Birthday to my mother who has been so amazing through this journey! Hope you are having a great day! 🙂
